Mary Ann came to the department in January of 2002 as the graduate secretary. She processes incoming applications, assists the graduate students with their paperwork as they move through the program, and works closely with both the Director of Undergraduate Studies and the Director of Graduate Studies.

Carol joined the department on a part time basis in October of 2009. As Assistant to the Chair she handles the financial and administrative responsibilities for the department. She is also working on completing her PhD in American Studies; focusing on Latin American women writers, feminism and the kitchen.
